LadiesCon 2020 Virtual Code of Conduct

The organizers of LadiesCon wish to provide a fun and safe online event for all our attendees, panelists, and guests. In the interests of ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all, we ask that everyone attending LadiesCon adhere to our rules of conduct.

Staff

Our staff members will be present in all the LadiesCon panels throughout the week. To keep this event safe and comfortable for all, we ask that you comply with any instructions or directions that our staff members may give you. If you have any questions or concerns about anything during LadiesCon, these staff members will be happy to help you. If you cannot reach the staff member in the panel, please e-mail us at ladiesofcomicazi@gmail.com for assistance.

In-Panel Behavior

LadiesCon expects our attendees to behave in a respectful way towards all attendees, staff, and panelists. Advertising in the panel chat is prohibited.

Rules for Cosplayers

We encourage our online attendees to post their cosplay pics using the #LadiesCon2020 hashtag. Please keep in mind that, as an all ages Con, we request that all costumes/pics be family friendly if using our hashtag. 

Harassment

LadiesCon has always had a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY towards any harassment. This year’s harassment policy applies to all platforms where LadiesCon is being held and all LadiesCon programming, including after hours events. Prohibited actions include - but are not limited to:

  • Offensive verbal comments

  • Stalking

  • Sustained disruption of any event e verbally, visually, or in the comments

  • Unwelcome and/or inappropriate comments towards guests and attendees

  • Verbal intimidation

 

Additionally, we do not allow harassment of any individual based on factors including - but not limited to:

  • Race

  • Nationality

  • Gender identity

  • Sexual orientation

  • Body type

  • Religion

  • Disability

Harassment of Cosplayers

LadiesCon fully supports the “Cosplay is not Consent” philosophy.  No cosplayer at LadiesCon is required to interact with any other attendee, vendor, panelist, or guest.

Reporting Harassment

If you are being harassed, you see someone else being harassed, or you have questions about something you have witnessed online, please report to one of our staff members, either in the panel chat or by e-mail at ladiesofcomicazi@gmail.com. All reports of harassment will be taken seriously and investigated promptly.

Consequences of Harassment and Other Prohibited Behavior

The consequences for anyone engaging in harassing behavior or other prohibited behavior are up to the discretion of the LadiesCon staff. Actions the convention staff may take include, but are not limited to:

  • Temporarily removing the person from the virtual LadiesCon event

  • Permanently removing the person from all virtual LadiesCon events for the duration of the convention

  • Permanently banning the person from all future LadiesCon conventions and/or related events

  • Contacting local law enforcement
